This was a very welcome return to Canberra by Jacam Manricks and his quartet, albeit a different one to last year. Without casting any aspersions whatsoever on the one last year, this year's quartet was an all-star cast. It is always a privilege and a pleasure to see and hear Linda Oh play; and as well to hear Eric MacPherson for the first time and Jackson Harrison again. This was tightly-integrated playing of high-quality music by an ensemble clearly well into their tour and comfortable together. Jacam himself was clear and crisp and creative, and he generously shared the stage with the others.
