Mark and this band have been around for a while, and many people will have heard of them and perhaps have the last CD. But this gig proved that you haven't really heard them until you hear them live. They demonstrated an impressive level of energy and creativity, and you can see from the range expressions on Mark's face, and those of the other musicians, how much of themselves they put into this performance. Mark's compositions drew on a wide range of influences, both inside and outside the jazz idiom. In short, they blew the audience away.
