This performance left me in something of a quandary. On the one hand this was a powerful performance of a theatrical work, full of (not entirely clear) symbolism, performed in seven languages by a gifted individual on a wide range of instruments, well supported by three other musicians. I'd be more than happy to see more works by Jen. But on the other hand, not at a jazz festival.
